As you may have heard by now one of our long term volunteers, Richard Bendelow, passed away last week.
Richard had a long connection with BUCFP, having been a regular centre user for many years, a Welfare Rights advisor, trustee and most recently working on reception for the Office Project. Richard was always approachable and friendly and went out of his way to help others; he was definitely a ‘doer’ rather than a ‘talker’.
We would like to express our heartfelt condolences to Richard’s family and friends and to let you know he was well known and loved here. His voluntary work made a real difference to countless peoples’ lives down the years.
A farewell and celebration of Richard’s life took place on Friday 1st July at Woodvale Crematorium. There was a great turnout of family, friends and people from the centre.
